Ascension St. Vincent’s St.Johns County
While located just west of Ponte Vedra, Ascension St. Vincent’s St. Johns provides a range of specialty care and 24/7 emergency care. Baptist HealthPlace at Nocatee
One of Baptist Health’s newest additions is Baptist HealthPlace at Nocatee, which opened in 2020 and was designed around fitness, wellness, medical and therapeutic needs. The two-story, 83,000-square-foot center provides traditional services like Heart, ENT, gastrointestinal, and Lab Services. In addition to these traditional services, the facility integrates truly unique elements and partners.
Their Baptist Medical Center South, located about 18 miles from Ponte Vedra Beach near Interstate 95, is ranked among the top 5% of hospitals in Florida by U.S. News and World Reports. One of their more recognized specialties is their Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine. They provide state-of-the-art, single-person hyperbaric chambers that help patients resume normal, healthy lives.
HCA Florida Healthcare – Julington Creek Emergency
Positioned farther east in St Johns County, HCA Florida Healthcare and their Julington Creek Emergency facilities provide a full-service emergency room (ER), providing comprehensive emergency care to the St. Johns community and its visitors. The 11,000-square-foot emergency room has 12 beds and is staffed by board-certified emergency physicians, certified nurses, and paramedics. Their talented professionals treat emergency-related issues whether broken bones, chest pain, and other symptoms of a heart attack, contusions, and stroke. HCA plans to expand its presence in the region and has recently acquired land plotted for a new primary and specialty care facility adding to its St. Johns County presence and further enhancing its position as Florida’s largest healthcare family.
Mayo Clinic
The Mayo Clinic, located just north of Ponte Vedra in Jacksonville, is rated Florida’s number one hospital by U.S. News & World Reports in their Hospital’s Best report. Mayo’s international recognition allows it to attract patients from not only other parts of the U.S. but also from around the world.
Mayo is particularly recognized for its capabilities in helping patients in their battles with cancer. The Mayo Clinic’s Comprehensive Cancer Center is designated by the National Cancer Institute as a comprehensive cancer center. This is why more than 120,000 people with cancer come to Mayo Clinic each year.
Mayo is in the process of expanding its ability to care through the development of an additional 5 stories to its existing 8-story tower. This expansion will expand Mayo’s space by 250,000 square feet of additional space. When completed, the 13-floor, 1.4 million square foot hospital will have 428 patient beds.

Serving the St. Augustine community since 1889, UF Health St. Johns has branched out to cover all of St. Johns County in neighborhood-centric locations.
UF Health St. Johns – Nocatee offers a wide array of health care services, from concierge medicine to primary care, orthopedics, laboratory services, and a full scope of imaging services, including the only MRI and CT in the area.
