Mickler’s Landing is located on the southern end of Ponte Vedra Beach, just north of the Guana Tolomato Matanzas Research Reserve. You can park at the adjacent lot, and there are restrooms, showers, and a mix of pavilions, picnic tables, and grills if you want to extend your stay after your fishing experience.
Mickler’s Landing provides a relatively gradual shoreline, and waves are typically moderate, making it easier to find the right spot for your surf fishing adventure. For many, the combination of being barefoot in the sand, hearing the waves, and seeing passing birds creates a truly unique fishing experience. Go early in the morning — the beach is less crowded, and the incoming tides are ideal for “reading the water.”
