Unique Resorts & Lodging
Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
From Mining Town to Resort Destination
The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is the property that shaped the area’s identity as a true resort. In the early 1900s, the community was known as Mineral City, prized for its mineral deposits. After World War I, demand for these resources faded and the area reinvented itself.
In 1928, the Ponte Vedra Club opened, transforming dunes and swampland into a seaside playground. Its Ocean Course introduced the concept of an island green and was to hold the prestigious Ryder Cup in 1939, but was cancelled as a result of the start of World War II.

Luxury and Leisure
Today, after decades of renovations and expansion, the Inn offers 262 rooms, 36 holes of golf, 12 tennis courts, direct Atlantic access, and a full-service spa. Showcasing its grandeur, the property has consistently earned AAA’s Five Diamond rating. Most of the estate is reserved for guests and members, but even if you’re not staying at the Inn, you can visit their Gourmet Shop.

A Golf Mecca
Sawgrass Marriott
The area’s reputation for golf grew further with the opening of the Sawgrass Marriott in 1987, adjacent to TPC Sawgrass. It quickly became the go-to destination for golfers seeking a front-row seat to Ponte Vedra’s legendary courses.
Guests enjoy exclusive privileges at the golf complex, from playing a round to taking lessons. With both the Players Stadium Course—including its famed 17th-hole island green—and Dye’s Valley Course, golfers have world-class options just steps away.
